Arimidex lowers the estrogen creation in the human body. Reducing the level of hormones in postmenopausal females help control the development of specific breast tumors that needs estrogen in order to grow. Mostly arimidex is used to cure breast cancer in postmenopausal females regardless of which stage the cancer is on. If the treatment with soltamax or nolvadex started and then still the cancer is progressing forward then also arimidex can be used to treat those females. Some researchers have proved that females can stay free from the breast cancer regeneration concern if they are treated properly with arimidex.
Arimidex only terminates the growth of cancer cells instead of completely killing them. After the completion of menopausal phase, the estrogen is formed in fat cells, as conflicting with ovaries in young females. Due to this variation in estrogen creation, this can cause the cancer cells to grow again.
Arimidex is mostly used in order to treat the early staged breast cancer in postmenopausal females. It has been observed that individuals suffering from ER negative breast cancer and are not treated with any other steroid or the treatment was ineffective, have reacted to arimidex in most efficient way. Anastrozole is very commonly prescribed medicine for the purpose of restricting the reoccurrence of early breast cancer. Individuals have the choice of converting from tamoxifen to arimidex in order to treat with breast cancer and there are no side effects of it, in fact the side effects are reduced to certain extent.
Dose of Arimidex
The most prescribed and very safe dose of arimidex is 1mg every day. In order to treat females with early stage breast cancer, arimidex must be taken for very long time while the females who are suffering from advance stage breast cancer are suggested to consumer arimidex once in a day every day until the tumor is terminated.
If any individual misses any dose than they must take it immediately but if the time for another dose is arrived than they must skip the former dose and continue with the latter.
Overdose of any medicine or drug is always harmful and same is the case with arimidex. If you have consumed overdose then you must immediately consult a doctor in order to avoid unwanted circumstances.
Females who are pregnant or breast feeding must not consume this steroid otherwise it could harm the child. Postmenopausal females are the ones for whom this medicine is designed for. Females who have not completed their menopausal phase are strictly advised to never take this medicine. If any individual is experiencing heart disease, osteoporosis, allergic reactions, or higher level of cholesterol than they must not take this medicine. Blood clot, disordered liver, and stokes are some other conditions where arimidex must not be taken.
